Story Behind The Song

The piece began as a sketch composed for one of my advanced piano students and eventually expanded to a symphonic toccata for piano. I orchestrated the work after its composition and recorded the music in my home studio using the GigaStudio 3 recording software and employing SonicImplant string and percussion samples.

Song Description

Sami is a fully orchestrated instrumental for piano, strings, horn section and percussion. It has two themes, development and recapitulation. Sami is a virtuoso perpetual motion toccata that could be described as Celtic nostalgia.
