Story Behind The Song

To begin the creative process I start with a challenge presented in a "what if?" sentence. Having never composed anything for just the left hand I was not sure whether I could handle it or not.

Song Description

This piece has a deeply spiritual heart. I used rondo form and scored the work for piano, strings, 4 horns and percussion. It tells the story of how a man could overcome all obstacles by believing in himself.
