Lyrics

Verse:
She's a green eyed girl with high expectations
Poor thing lives in her imagination
Long blond hair dreams as dark as night
Some folks say she just isn't quite right
Jane is a looking for a love that 's gone
The boy next door is never comin' home
Paul went off to play jockey in the sky
Nobody knows if he lived or he died
Pre-Chorus:
(The) Folks around town say
Chorus:
Don't go and tell crazy Jane
She's out staring at the sky
Don't go and tell crazy Jane
Life has gone and passed her by
Don't go and tell crazy Jane
Her lover is never comin' home
Don't go and tell crazy Jane
Some things are better left alone
(Instrumental with ad-lib)
oh yea
Verse:
Jane carries a worn out baby doll
Sings it songs and calls it our son Paul
Kisses it and says he has his daddy's eyes
He's a good boy hardly ever cries
She goes to a clinic gets her daily pills
Wish they made one for her broken will
She and Paul had a baby when they were young
Nobody knows what happened to their son
PRE-CHORUS
CHORUS
Bridge:
Now the folks in town don't ever even talk to crazy Jane
If she's comin' they pull their kids off to the side
Everyone says crazy Jane must be insane
They laugh and turn their heads when she walks by
(Instrumental with ad-lib)
That's what they do
Jane's comin;' ha ha ha
Oh, crazy Jane
Pre-chorus:
Folks in town say
CHORUS
Outro:
Don't go and tell crazy Jane (Don't go and tell)
She's out staring at the sky (Starin' at the sky)
Don't go and tell crazy Jane (Jane)
Life has gone and passed her by
Don't go and tell crazy Jane
Her lover is never comin' home
Don't go and tell crazy Jane (Don't go and tell)

Don't go and tell crazy Jane (Don't go and tell)
She's out staring at the sky (Starin' at the sky)
Don't go and tell crazy Jane (Jane, crazy Jane)
Life has gone and passed her by
