Story Behind The Song
This track had a Motown-style rhythm but it ended up as a pop/rock song. This is about getting your life back together and I started writing this after listening to ?Auberge?, an album released by Chris Rea in 1991. Very simple construction to this song

Crazy Yesterday

VERSE ONE:
On the road, holding on somehow
Tearing me up, running me down
You know it sounds like the voice of a gun
A shallow heart burns up like the sun
I realised I had no soul
So many lies that I was told
CHORUS:
And I won?t go back to that crazy yesterday
I?m gonna pick me up, take this chance for a better way
I?m gonna make my name, I?ll be number one
I don?t wanna see another crazy yesterday
VERSE TWO:
Take me out of this empty shell
That?s pulling me down to a place they call hell
This is all making my life misery
Hold on my heart and just hope to be free
Too many years of sleeping dreams
I was falling apart at the seams
REPEAT CHORUS
VERSE THREE: INSTRUMENTAL
Too many years of sleeping dreams
I was falling apart at the seams
REPEAT CHORUS
