Story Behind The Song
My cowriter and I wanted to write a high energy song about the never ending weekend celebrated with friends. We have been enamored with the songwriting and production genius of hit-maker Max Martin (Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, etc) and challenged ourselves to create a song and production that evokes his signature sound.

Lyrics
We'll Sleep When We Die
by Kelly Riley and Rich Sokolow
Verse 1
Driving up the coastline
With the friends I love the most, I'm
Already feeling better
Party in our car
And posing like rock stars
Forget about our problems
We don't need to solve them
Chorus
Pedal to the metal and we're chasing the sun
Livin' the dream like Monday never comes
Keeping all our secrets, we'll be partners in crime
Like Bonnie and Clyde, we'll sleep when we die
We'll sleep when we die
Verse 2
One more chance for freedom
Forget this classroom dreamin'
Leave it in the rear view
Pushing all the limits
We'll breathe in every minute
Beats loud, windows down, we don't give a damn
We got everybody dancing in the traffic jam
Chorus
Bridge
Sleep...when we die
Sleep...
Monday never comes, Monday never comes, Monday
We'll sleep when we die
Chorus (Breakdown)
Chorus
Outro
Driving up the coastline
With the friends I love the most, I'm
Already feeling better
