Story Behind The Song

I was testing some new equipment while recording this song. I made conscious decisions to do things differently than I usually would. The result is different, but came out kind of cool. The song itself was mostly written in a moving car (I wasn't driving), with other conversations and a radio and other things going on. I didn't have any instruments, which may be why the whole verse sits on one chord, something I also wouldn't usually do.

A pop song with some interesting dance beats and synth countermelody, it tells a disjointed story of a love that didn't happen, or something like that.
