Story Behind The Song

Was just playing piano and came up with this chord progression. Originally, I was going to add a mellow, muted jazz trumpet, but it didn't sound quite right. I tried a bluesy guitar, but settled on keeping it as just a piano solo.

Song Description

The wind blew gently across his face as he sat on a rocking chair that didn't rock. The sun was setting over the golden field as he allowed his eyes to close and his mind to wander to that long ago time. When he opened his eyes, the land was dark, but the gentle wind still blew. Inner peace was somewhere, just within his grasp, yet not his to hold onto.
