Lyrics
I MUST BE DREAMING
Words: Powers McElhone ASCAP
Music: Varick Bacon ASCAP
SHE:
Hey Moon,
It's much too late for love.
Hey Stars,
What were you thinking of?
I don't believe
I'm really in his arms,
I MUST BE DREAMING
I MUST BE DREAMING.
You see, I'd know his touch with my eyes closed.
Although it seems a lifetime ago.
Hey wicked moon,
You're playing games with my poor heart
We're moons and stars apart
And I'm still dreaming dreams again.
Hey Moon,
You're much too bright tonight,
Hey Stars,
It's just a trick of light
That makes me see his face as clear as day,
I MUST BE DREAMING
I'M SURE I'M DREAMING.
You know, it seemed--for only a heartbeat--
As though he never left me at all.
You wicked Moon,
You're playing with my broken heart
We're moon and stars apart
And I'm just dreaming dreams again
...You Wicked Moon
