Verse 1
In my daughter?s eyes
I could always see her joy
Could always see her laughter
Always see her trying, to take hold of the prize
To be what she should
And reach as far as she could
Verse 2
In my daughter?s eyes
I could always see her pain
But watched her get up again
And reach for tomorrow
And in her eyes, the sun would rise again
And fill my life with her love
Bridge
Change doesn?t come like thunder
It comes upon you like sunrise
And she is now the beauty standing before my eyes
As she steps toward her future
I can't help but recall
Holding my little girl, my daughter
At the start of it all
And through the years I watched her grow
I was as far as she could see
I knew how fast she would grow
I knew how fast she would grow
I knew how fast, how fast ?????..
Verse 3
In my daughter?s eyes
I can see her joy
As I give her hand to his
It is as it should be; That she turn to him
To build and share their lives
And I can see the joy
In my daughter?s eyes.
