Story Behind The Song
My daughters love to put plays on. The television is turned off and our living room becomes a theatre where all kinds of characters' ignite the stage. Sometimes after the show my wife and I may spend a little time laughing about the event and maybe even have a little time to be silly ourselves.

Lyrics
And They Dance (by Perry Kelly)
In our living room at night, There is a stage
Where children perform and sing, to millions they serenade
The fire is glowing dim, but laughter is everywhere
Just two in the audience as the spotlight fills the air
And they dance, Oh they turn as they cross the floor
And they sing, And then beg us to listen to just one more
And now the sun goes down and the nighttime calls for sleep
To give them rest so tomorrow they'll once again dance for me
And so with kisses and hugs they crawl into little beds
Tomorrow morning will come and we'll hear those songs again
And they dance, Oh they turn as they cross the floor
And they sing, And then beg us to listen to just one more
And they dance, Oh they enter into their own world again
Where the living room is their stage
And applause thunders from a parents hands
Little ones play, with all their finest dresses out on display
Princesses all, the silent prince is there to dance at the Ball
Tales of a Knight whose chivalry has won the battle for right
And with final bows the players all embrace their crowd
And they dance, Oh they turn as they cross the floor
And they sing, And then beg us to listen to just one more
And now the sun is down and the children are fast asleep
I turn and look at my queen and I ask her to dance with me
And then we sway to a song that she sings as we cross the floor
Soon the morning will come and we'll dance this dance once more
And we dance, Oh we turn as we cross the floor
And she sings, And then begs me to dance with her just once more
And we dance, as we enter into our own world again
Where the living room is our stage
And there happily we play remember when
