Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song after the Kent State massacre. I didn't want to be specific
about what had happened, but the event effected me deeply and this was my expression as I sat watching rain come down like tinsel.
Song Description
Watching rain fall as I pondered the murder of students doing what I was doing, just in a different place...protestng.

Lyrics
Tinsel Rain
Falling down on the morning dew,
What make you think there's room there for you?
Can't you see how the flowers droop?
What'll they do when you get through? What'll they do when you get through?
mmmmmmmm
(chorus)
Tinsel Rain Fall on me
Tinsel rain wash me clean
Tinsel rain set me free.
Let the sun shine on me.
When I look out my window I see...
Tinsel rain you really baffle me,
Hey if I had some friends in for tea.
You'd fall on them all tinsel sweet
Yes fall on them all tinsel sweet...
mmmmmmmmmmm
Chorus:
Tinsel rain it's been a dreary day,
And this morning I liked it that way.
But you know it's been a long long time...
And I feel like the sun ought to shine,
Chorus:
