Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song after my girlfriend left me. It was a big shock to my heart and I had grown tired of all my relationships ending badly. But rather than find the root cause of the issues and examine why my relationships were ending badly. I decided to write this song out of anger, and ironically enough, many girls I know, like this song.
Song Description
The song is basically about a man who has just been told by his girlfriend that she is leaving him. He proclaims many times in the song that he'd rather have her dead than leave him. Hence the name of the song "A Dead Girl Won't Leave Me". The girl is trying to give reasons why she is leaving him, but he doesn't want to hear it. The song is a story about heartbreak and relationships ending and the many ways that you can choose to deal with them. You can deal with things in a calm way and work to resolve them or you can respond in anger and violence.
