Story Behind The Song
I've often heard guys debating about whether they were a "Maryanne Guy" or a "Ginger Guy". I thought it was a fun idea for a song that a lot of guys can relate to.
Song Description
This song talks about all of the TV women of his childhood, from a grownup man's perspective. His favorite was Maryanne, but he also lusted after Ginger, Mrs. Cleaver, Ellie Mae, Daisy Duke, etc. The song is written tounge-in-cheek.

Lyrics
I used to dream of her and me
Down by the old lagoon
Sitting in our homemade hammocks
On a tropical afternoon
I'd catch fish for dinner
She'd make coconut pies
We'd write words in the beach with logs in case an airplane would go by
(chorus)
yeah, Ginger had her moments
Hell, she was a movie star
And how about Daisy Duke, sitting on the hood of her cousins' car
Ellie Mae Clampett looked so fine in those cutoff jeans
And how about Marilyn Munster
Yeah, she was the hottest ghoul that I'd ever seen, but
I have always been a Maryanne
I have always been a Maryanne
I have always been a Maryanne Guy
Yeah, Thurston he had Lovie
I'm pretty sure the professor was gay
Skipper was way too old and fat
And I could take Gilligan any day
(chorus- replace Marilyn Munster line with: How about Mrs. Cleaver in that white blouse ... she was the hottest mom that I'd ever seen )
I always knew I could protect you
When the headhunters came at night
And then we'd sneak back to our little hut
And you could hold me, oh so tight
I didn't know much when I was ten
But I knew one thing for sure
That I would have given an arm and a leg
For one three hour tour
(chorus: replace Mrs. Cleaver line with : And sometimes I dreamed of Jeannie ... or Marsha Brady in between)
