Song Description
I wrote this song about my grandma Nelda Palmer and it is sure to touch anyone who is a Grandma or who has a Grandma. What would we ever do without our Grandma's? Some of my fondest memories are all the goodies that Grandma used to make.

GRANDMA
Words and music written by Steven Oudean Ó2002
(dedicated to Nelda Ann Palmer)
VERSE 1
Her children were her pride and joy and what she was livin? for
And there was nothin? that she wouldn?t do for her family she adored
And she kept us all together with her love and with her care
And even if we were miles from home we could always feel her near
CHORUS
Oh! Grandma, our home sweet home and our memories of you will linger on and on?
And we?ll hold you in our hearts forever and ever more
And there you?ll stay each and every day
Till we meet at heaven?s door.
VERSE 2
Oh Grandma, we?re gonna miss you so, even more than we know
And sometimes we wonder why. Why do folks have to get old?
But we know you?re in a better place walkin? on those streets of gold
And all heaven is rejoicing now for another precious soul?s?made it home (made it home)
REPEAT CHORUS
Oh! Grandma, our home sweet home? and our memories of you will linger on and on?
And we?ll hold you in our hearts forever and ever more
And there you?ll stay each and every day
Till we meet at heaven?s door.
REPEAT VERSE 1 TO END
Her children were her pride and joy and what she was livin? for
And there was nothin? that she wouldn?t do for her family she adored
And she kept us all together with her love and with her care
And even if we were miles from home we could always feel her near
