Story Behind The Song
The melody was written fairly quickly and the words, once I settled on the theme, also came surprisingly quickly. The idea of our relationship with God being a very personal one who is our constant companion is taught by many, as well as my master, Meher Baba. The words describing diving for "The Pearl" in ones life's spiritual search are His as well as the general tenor of the words to the song.
