Lyrics
I came into this world with no preconceived notions
in concert with the rhythms of the oceans, with celestial motions
every cell divided with precision
it's as if my introduction to this life was a preordained decision
I imitated, sounds my parents made, until my desires and needs could be clearly conveyed
I worked and I played, gained rewards and I paid, when I behaved in ways society forbade
and from this process, I discovered I was unique, many people talk dialects I don't speak,
divided by engineered concepts: nationality,
tribe, gang, religion, race salary
I learned to despise the light in other's eyes
to disguise my agenda, with outright lies,
to get MINE, no matter what the cost, God-dammit,
and take up my position on this Troubled Little Planet.
I'm dedicating this song
to the Troubled Little Planet we're on
knowing that right or wrong,
people go on and on.
