Story Behind The Song

I had a girlfriend who was too concerned with being inside of the club. It took a toll on our relationship and we ended up separating because she thought that the men that she met in the club were what she wanted. After we broke up she realized her mistake and made attempts to get me back, but I had already moved on becoming numb to love. I then started focusing more on my music and less on love.

Song Description

I pictured this song taking a place on a ship as a man and his girl take sail to explore. The woman then looks through her binoculars to her surprise she sees a fantasy island in the distance with handsome men. No longer entertained by her boyfriend she sets the boat ablaze and takes the only rescue raft to the fantasy island. Unknowing to her, her boyfriend survives the fire and manages to swim to the opposite side of the island, he quickly realizes that everything on the island is a mirage. So he builds another boat to get off of the island with the company of some mermaids. As he sails away he sees his now ex-girlfriend reaching out for him as she realizes her mistake.
