The Creek

Story Behind The Song

From a personal experience: French originated, I owe my immigration to the call of the Loon. As I was composiing in France, with my very first keyboard (that ruined out my very first salary) I had an unknown disk of Loon samples, that I did not know what it could be, but I was loving it. I composed then this music. Later on, when I applied for the canadian immigration, waiting in the office lobby in Paris, some frames of Canada's best wilderness were displayed on the wall: a duck, black & white feathered, red eyed, called Common Loon. All a sudden I understood that the Loon had been calling me thru my music, comforting me that I made the right choice in my life. I still have goose bumps when telling the story.

Song Description

Again, the original theme of my Passport for the Sanctuary, re arranged with the Shakuhachi, an inspiring flute. Suggested scenic could be the discovery of a hidden little place of Heaven that only you are aware of on Earth, with the cry of the Loon at the end, my favorite animal on Earth.

Lyrics

A beautiful and serene sounding piece that evokes natural imagery which could be used as a background instrumental showing the beauty of nature and its habitat for example.

I've heard many good instrumental works from you in the past but this one today not my favorite as this song "comes too close to the Passeport pour le Sanctuaire. Sometimes even a new blouse may not appeal to me since I don't follow fashion styles of the day like some. I know next year I may look in the closet and say ...why didn't I wear this blouse before?
Therefore, I can't put a total negative down on this song The Hidden Creek (ala Enya) review especially since the Sanctuaire song was reviewed first which I did enjoy but this is too close to that one to be a favorable.
As I've said before never record anything you've not finished & polished to the best of your ability.
It's the recording of music that places it into stone when you or your record label releases a song on a CD or MP3 file online or offline. Getting reviews for music (songs) must be with your finished product and not a series of remakes of one song.
The melody line when recorded / released online or anywhere is encased in a place that only the surrounding musical notes can be sweetened but the song remains the same in melody lead line & title. This sweetening of different instruments maybe later on necessary especially for a certain project, but it's still the same melody / same song / as copyright laws in the Library of Congress & in different countries do support that fact. This is for a songwriters protection & purpose which is for all of us songwriters worldwide a good thing.
I want to thank you for sharing your musical compositions on Broadjam to read my opinion here which you must know is one of many you may have in your songwriting career. Keep writing & God bless!
