Story Behind The Song
I wrote this when I had first moved out on my own. I was going through a relationship with a younger girl that was off the hook crazy and kind of hard to deal with. This along with my other vices, brought me to look inside myself for the answers. I was also taking a class on Shakespeare at the time and the first line of the song was influenced by a line of his, "finding it hard to live like an honorable Scott" which basically stood for man in those days.
Song Description
Sometimes we find ourselves falling into traps that we set for our selves. The key is seeing those trap and finding our way around or out of them.

Lyrics
DEEPER (IN THE TRAP)
Sometimes I don't find it easy, to live my life and an honorable man.
Sometimes I don't find it easy, but I'm doing the best that I can
Just as you see I do feel, I feel the people that I hold near.
Dear to my heart, my inner self, to find total peace would be my greatest wealth.
The long cold winter seemed it would never end, too long too far too deep down now my friend.
The deeper I fall, the deeper I get, to the end of something that's better off dead.
If I fall down deeper to this trap, would you still be there for me could you cut me some slack?
Would you take me in your arms and hold my soul, put my head against your breasts and never let me go.
I want you I need you but is it the same, I know that I love you and it's no game.
Sometimes I fly away from the flock and find myself alone on some barren dock.
If I die before I wake I pray the lord my soul to take like he did one time long ago.
Take me down to the resting-place where I will have a smile on my face, like I did one time before.
