Story Behind The Song
When I was recording NanaTunes, there was a boy on my vocal team named Ned Franklin. Ned ALWAYS left something behind at practice, so I wrote a song for him. Ned likes his song and knows that now his forgetfulness will be forever immortalized and helpful to many who are inspired by his song.
Song Description
In this song, you'll meet Ned, who tends to forget important things like: homework, report card, lunch box, baseball. The bridge is a lot of fun: Finders Keepers is a familiar mantra among children and grownups alike. Final verse is a good admonition to take a look around before you leave a place to make sure you have everything.

Lyrics
Once there was a boy named Ned
Morning comes, he makes his bed
Waving his family goodbye
Whoops! He left his homework behind!
Ned studied hard in class
There never was a doubt that he would pass
But daddy wasn't with him to remind....
Whoops! He left his report card behind!
CHORUS: Ned, Ned, use your head.
Boy with the brilliant mind.
Take a look around; before you leave town,
See what you left behind!
Ned's mom knew how to pack a lunch.
With lots of healthy food for her son to munch.
But after her hungry boy had dined
Whoops! He left his lunchbox behind.
Ned went to the park to play
Hangin' out with friends, havin' fun all day.
The boy barely made it home in time,
Oh no!...He left his baseball behind.
BRIDGE: Finders keepers, losers weepers
So if you don't wanna cry:
Take a look around before you leave town
And see what you left behind!
Ned's not alone when he neglects
We all have a tendency to forget.
So before you exit, keep in mind.
Please check for what you left behind!
