Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song (obviously) walking on the beach. It's for my grandkids, of course. Even when I am walking alone on the beach with no kids, I still like singing this song. The cool hand percussion you are hearing is the expert work of Sam Rodriguez of Jacksonville, FL.
Song Description
Starting with the toes, you start to get wet, then before you know it, you've gone under...just like a bird on beach. To do the falling over part, act like a flamingo falling asleep during the lullaby verse, then fall over on the floor (or sand) laughing with your kids. The perfect family song for going to the beach!

Lyrics
I'm gonna get my feet wet (feet wet)
Like a bird on the beach. (like a bird on the beach)
I'm gonna get my feet wet (feet wet)
Like a bird on the beach (like a bird on the beach)
I'm gonna get my feet wet (feet wet)
Like a bird on the beach. (like a bird on the beach)
Everyone knows, ya start with the toes
Like a bird on the beach (like a bird on the beach).
Knees wet
Wings Wet
Neck Wet
Now I'm gonna go under
Gonna go to sleep now
Now I'm gonna fall over (over)
Like a kid on the beach, like a kid on the beach.
Now I'm gonna fall over (over)
Like a kid on the beach, like a kid on the beach.
Now I'm gonna fall over (over)
Like a kid on the beach, like a kid on the beach.
Everyone knew, that's what kids do
Like a bird on the beach, Like a bird on the beach
Like a bird on the beach, Like a bird on the beach
Like a bird on the beach.
