Growing up having to overcome many adversities from bullying to becoming a rape survivor, often times there is no support for those that is considered to be the underdog. Well here is our anthem. My daughter is special needs and road has not been easy. I had to give up a Major opportunity in my life, being accepted to the Young Americans, after my daughter fell ill. I made the decision that I would not have my daughter in state custody like I had been and that she needed me to be her mother more that I needed my dreams. So I had to decline an offer that I worked for all my life, literally. It was a very hard pill to swallow, well fast forward. I decided that the universe makes no mistakes and that as long as I continue to run toward my life no matter what comes my way I will be successful. This is what I teach my daughter that no matter how the world may view you having a disABILITY you can be the best at the gifts that are within you. We are not victims, but survivors.
