Story Behind The Song
Started writing this as a song for families or a song dedicated to my mother who died of cancer. Also with elements of my dad who left home at a young age and how he always wanted to come home... so it turned into a combination of the two.

Lyrics
V1
I'm Driving down that old ridge road, Mama's needs me so I'm goin' home..
Memories run through my mind of her Southern Charm and her apple pies,
PC
I can't wait to see the place, where I was born and raised and to see my mama's eyes again
Chorus
Cuz Mama's Eyes are warm and gentle Mama's Eyes would cry sometimes.
Mama's Eyes would light with fire, from the hell that I raised then sparkle again, like the country night, And I felt so much love from Mama's Eyes
V2
She kept us warm and she fed us right , tucked us in with a kiss every night
I tried to trick her a time or two, but that sideways glance always knew
PC
Now as I turn around the bend, I see the farm and the red barn, and Daddy holdin mama in his arms
Chorus
Oh Mama's/ Eyes are warm and gentle Mama's Eyes would cry sometimes.
Mama's Eyes would light with fire, from the hell that I raised then sparkle again, like the country night, And I felt so much love from Mama's Eyes
Bridge (Break Down)
On the day the good Lord took her/, I was sittin by her side/
/She took me by the hand /and I said my last goodbye (key change)
Final Chorus
Oh Mama's Eyes were warm and gentle, Mama's eyes will never cry
Mama's eyes shine from heaven, like two stars on a country night, and I can feel her love ...... lookin' down from above...., Oh I can feel the love... ... from Mama's Eyes
