Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song after a 6 month writing drought, realizing that I had not given myself any space or time that is needed for songs to develop.
Song Description
We get so busy, we forget to be truely human. Slowing down is a choice and a battle sometimes, but something indespensible for sanity and well worth the effort.

Lyrics
Too much running with blind eyes
Fickle rat race, fickle prize
Too much grasping at fake things
Empty hands and hurt feelings
Too much action not enough
Of that silent stare of love
Too much looking far ahead
What if this in case of that?
Placing Hope in the next step
But tripping on the one I?m in
Not enough of asking questions
Skipping only to the answers
(chorus)
So Slow down. The earth will turn without your willing it
Slow down. The fire will burn without your touching it
Slow down. Calm this restless heart of mine.
Too much thinking, too much time
To get our hopes hung from these lines
So too much weight hangs from our feet
Before our journey's evencomplete
Too much aching, a silent shout
Cut the lines, let them fall down
Chorus
Bridge:
And there?s one thing, one thing that I missed
Cause there?s too much to do on my list
I need three, three, three other me?s
And what for, what for, I can?t see the reason
For the five things that I forgot to do, and that was
Slow Down (chorus)
