They were so innocent, it was no accident
they were gunned down on the street , picked out randomly
Now all their families, live with the memories
cause that's all they have remaining, since that tragedy
and all that we can do is wonder why

So senseless , the pain, how could anybody be so damn deranged
So senseless, the hurt , why would anybody want to do the worst
we all know this is , so senseless

It's all so cowardly, thinking that they'll be free
After they carry out their evil twisted shooting spree
cause they plan to die, never to face the lie
That the told themselves about how others need to cry
and all that we can do is say goodbye

They call it an act of terror when it's really something else
Some kind of fatal error, in the things they tell themselves
And we're the ones that suffer , as they take it out on us
