Story Behind The Song
I came up with the basic music idea for this one, then we all sat down to hash out the arrangement and lyrics. We still might go back and replace the main guitar with an acoustic, but we use acoustic so much I thought it might be nice for a change.
Song Description

Lyrics
Stuck on the crosstown and I'm breaking my ride
Other lanes are moving and I can't break inside
Missed my exit and I can't slow down
Can't seem to get this life turned around
Waiting and I'm all alone
And there's no one around
Waiting for the lights to change
Always seems to slow me down
Waiting and I can't get home
Like a roadblock in the rain
I'm still waiting
For the light to...
Pumping my brakes, I'm coming up way too fast
I've seen this road before, I can't escape my past
Angry eyes are burning and I'm dead at the white line
I've had enough, can't take anymore
Can't throw it all away, Going to put my foot through the floor
Waiting and I'm all alone
And there's no one around
Waiting for the lights to change
Always seems to slow me down
Waiting and I can't get home
Like a roadblock in the rain
I'm still waiting
For the light to...
Waiting and I'm all alone
And there's no one around
Waiting for the lights to change
Always seems to slow me down
Waiting and I can't get home
Like a roadblock in the rain
I'm still waiting
I can't stop to explain why
My wheels are spinning 'round and 'round
Never moving up
Always held to the ground
I'm so tired
And I just can't stand this pain
Need to free myself
I'm still wating
For the light to...
