Story Behind The Song
I was in the south of France, sitting by the Mediterranean Sea, when I began to write this song. I wanted to create the sence of running water, like the ocean waves.
Song Description
A girl sitting by the oceanside has a vision of a man she does not know, her soul mate. She reaches out to him in her mind, but can not find him. She has seen his eyes and felt his presence sometime long ago in a previous life.

Lyrics
A Man She Does Not Know
Marghi Allen
(c) 1978
She was sitting by the ocean shore
She was listening to the waves
When she realized she done it all before
In another time and place
And then through the abyss of her memory
She saw his face
His eyes like the stars above
Seemed to beckon and to call
She didn?t know if it was love
But she knew that it was all
She would ever want
All she?d ever need
But was he really there at all
In the night time
She reaches out
In the night time
She seeks him
And then sometimes
Her tears break out
Will she ever reach him?
Her hair blows in the wind
Her green eyes flutter closed
She has spent so much time
Questioning
Still no answers are disclosed
And so she reconciles her life to him
A man she does not know.
Around her there is a glow
She is one the stars have claimed
And there is so much
That she will never know
So much left unexplained
She is not the girl by the ocean side
She will never be again.
