Story Behind The Song

I played some concerts with Ali Akbar Khan and his classical Indian orchestra. He asked me to drink some scotch with him after class, and I was most honored. I wrote India 1 and India 2 in his honor.

Song Description

This song is a result of my performances with the classical indian orchestra of Ali Akbar Khan. It is a cello and percussion composition in which an Indian feel is prominent with bending of pitches and sliding into and out of notes.
