Story Behind The Song
It was obvious through the 90's that the world was going to become much stranger through technology. The 'connection' would bring people closer. The idea of losing the values and Morales that slowly strip from Humanity through the ages was predictable to us. The value that one holds through money, reputation and social status one could not warn enough of. The guitarist, J.K., sang my verses in the recording as his voice was great for the part, even though when played live, he did not. The chorus was originally meant to have a choir of different voices meshed together to represent, well, everyone. Instead that technique and idea was used 12 years later in the song, 'Locks Of Rock'.

Lyrics
my heart is empty even when my pockets are full
searching for answers in times i've lost
build yourself up for ridicule
you'll be seen under a microscope
even with magnified vision
face value is our living
take some time in giving
you know it you got it
you lost the feeling
driving last night thinking about direction
so they criticize everything I do
blame all your problems and empty pockets on you
well I guess sometimes I don't have a clue
(I do)
even with magnified vision
face value is our living
take some time in giving
you know it you got it
you lost the feeling
don't let it be
don't let it be our end
there's more to life than the latest trend
(end)
even with magnified vision
face value is our living
take some time in giving
you know it you got it
you lost the feeling
face value
fake value
fake value
