Da Door -studio

Story Behind The Song

The Door ends up being multi-dimensional. Originally I wrote it about a conflict with a friend I was living with. Ultimately it's about utilizing love.

Song Description

I see this song as the epitome of the door we all go through before we are born into this realm of fear and guilt. Now I know this is simply a veil and beyond is Heaven on Earth. Forgiveness baby!

Lyrics

The Door

Did we really make it happen?
We are standing at the door
Did we really make it happen?
When we demanded more
Maybe we forgot what the door is for

Is this the way we really see it?
Is that what we really said
We agreed at the door
To go by these rules and nothing more

Now we must confess
We got something less
We demanded something more than everything
And we got something less

I guess the victim here
Is the one who's calling the shots
We agreed at the door
To go by these rules
Maybe we forgot what the rules are for

Did we really make it happen?
Could we really make it happen? Ha ha
We are standing at the door
Maybe we'll remember what the door is for
Maybe we'll realize what the love is for.
