Someone who has changed in some way, and now feels lost, and unsure of what they have become - and fears for the changes this transformation will cause in their relationships.

Song Description

A rhythmic percussion instrument song with vocals, inspired by the book 'The Metamorphosis' by Franz Kafka. It explores changing as a person, and how that impacts the relationships one has, as well how it feels to lose oneself. While in the book the protaganist changes into a giant cockroach, the song can be applied to anyone who goes through change, and the effects of losing oneself through the likes of Alzheimer's and Dementia. It starts acapella, with the harmonies and percussion instruments coming in, giving the song a tribal drums feel. I recorded the song with unconventional instruments - floor tom, bongoes, jars, glass, glockenspiel and shaker among others.
