Story Behind The Song

I set up a couple of mics, my Yamaha DX7 and TX216 synths, my Fostex 450 mixer, and my TEAC 3340S 4-track reel-to-reel. Suellen brings her cello and Bill his clarinet and vocal cords. We crack some jokes, have some laughs, then I hit record. We make musical sounds for an hour or so. There is no pre-recording musical discussion, but much debate afterwards as we listen back. Like "More reverb!', "No, less reverb!" or "That's art!" "No, that's shit!" Stuff like that.
