Story Behind The Song
I've always loved a good hard rock song, and "Let Her Fly" reflects this more than my other material. It started with the chorus vocal melody, which I heard in my mind as a soaring tune with the long "i" sound. So I knew the hook had to be a word like "
Song Description
A power chord rocker that a lot of people tell me is their favorite song on my first CD. It's kind of retro in a Joan Jett sort of way. I think you could actually dance to this!

Lyrics
She walks in late, that's your woman
Who wasn't there when you got home
Tells you to wait, no one but no one
Tells her when to come and go
She once took you to paradise
Now you're payin' the price
Better let her fly
Dude you better let her say good-bye, let her fly
Better let her ride
Dude you better let her slide on by, let her ride
Better let her fly, better let her say good-bye
She moves away, leaves you her number
But you can't reach her on the phone
Makes you insane, still got that hunger
Buddy, why can't you move on
Her lovin' has made you blind
But she's not one of a kind
Better let her fly
Dude, you better let her say good-bye, let her fly
Better let her ride
Dude, you better let her slide on by, let her ride
Better let her fly
Better give someone else a try, let her fly
Better let her ride
Better let her say good-bye
She's not listenin' to what you say
Why don't you let her fly away
