Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song on the way home from a recording session, to the rhythm of the cracks in the road on I-94, as I watched the sun go down in my rear view mirror. I dug back up some old feelings about a past relationship and fit them into this song.
Song Description
this song digs deep into the heartbreak that emerges when the sun goes down.

Lyrics
Every Sunset
@2012 Julianne Ankley/Toil and Trouble Music
It ain't the cold side of my bed
it ain't the talkin' goin' round and round
from the voices in my head
it ain't the way you tossed my name like trash on the streets of this town
It's every sunset bringin' me down
it ain't the conversation of one
it ain't the theme round here that don't include fun
It ain't the way that lonely don't make a sound
It's every sunset bringin' me down
crimson, pink and yellow shouldn't make me so sad
maybe cause now it's the blues holdin' my hand
night draws the shade on my troubled mind
lettin' out my crazy one dusk at a time
It ain't that you didn't have the heart to hang around
It's every sunset, every sunset bringin' me down
