Story Behind The Song
Written after I watched a documentary on TV about the 60?s and Viet Nam war. One image was particularly powerful ? US university students poking flowers down the barrel of army reservist?s guns. The students were waging a war for peace and love, but unfortunately their adversary was politics and human nature. In the end the students made a strong point, but lost their war.

Lyrics
She wakes up slowly from what was once a great dream
She wakes up angry when she thinks about that could have been
She wakes up tried; cause all the world still just looks the same
And everything she does, she knows is going to be all in vain
She tells me slowly that this has not always been the way
She speaks quite lonely, lonely of the broken day
When the world was new and there was love everywhere
Then the world grew and learnt the meaning of worlds like despair
And the dreams they fort for where the dreams that they no longer believed
And the dreams they died for, were the dreams that somehow set them free
And their only weapons were the flowers that they held in their hands
And their only possession was the love of their fellow man
Know she says don?t bother me
Know she says when I am dead don?t bother me
Know she says when you lay me down don?t bother me
Know she says with the earth all around don?t bother me
Know she says as the dirt falls down don?t bother me
