Story Behind The Song
What can I say? Don Mayer sent me his lyric, I started work on it, and this was what came out. It was a 50ties kindda melody from the start but it seems like a long time that this music was taken up for an update. So I thought: let's give it a try. For the demo - and because of it's lyric - I wanted it to have something that would remind you of the world of native-Indians.
Song Description
Some comments on this song: great trip down memory lane, 50's doo wop flasback, "I can see Elvis this doing in one of his movies", and so on. And yes, for the demo I indeed tried to get some reference to a small band recording with stand-up bass mixed with some modern country guitar playing.

Lyrics
When a lover says goodbye
You walk alone
Left out in that cold cold night
On that long long road
Nowhere for you to go at all
Nowehere to turn
As you blindly keep on stumbling down
That long long road
And all that you have is heartache
And all that you feel is pain
No one to guide or lead you
You're on your own in the rain
When your love is gone - o my!
You're on your own again
As you slowly travel down down down
That long long road
