Better Late Than Never

Story Behind The Song

My father was a songwriter for RCA in the 60's and died when I was very young. I never actually new him well. I waited until I was 45 to start writing songs that had been in my head all my life. My friends just encouraged me to do so. I have been on many radio stations since as a singer songwriter and have received praise from many professionals and some famous people in the music industry. When your having fun with music that is what really matters. The same applies to life.

Lyrics

Better Late Than Never- by Johnny D Simmons

Here I stand all alone
On this stage tonight
The road that led me here
Now seems so right

You can do anything
Anything you believe
Search within yourself
And you will find the key

Don't let anyone
Keep you from a dream
Stand up and take a chance
you know what I mean

Can't wait forever
To sing a new song
let go and don't hold back
Show'em you belong yea

Chorus

Better late than never
To find out who you are
Better late than never
Maybe you're a star

Better late than never
You can go real far
Better late than never
Oh maybe you're a star
Maybe you're a star

Time want stand still
It just keeps movin on
Act upon your dreams
And know you are strong

Time's measured in years
Years there not long
Throw away your fears
You need to move along

Don't let anyone
Keep you from a dream
Stand up and take a chance
You know what I mean

Can't wait forever
This could be your day
Show'em what you got
You can pave they way yes

Better late than never
To find out who you are
Better late than never
Maybe you're a star

Better late than never
You can go real far
Better late than never
Oh maybe Maybe you're a star
Maybe you're a star

Better late than never
To find out who you are
Better late than never
Maybe you're a star

Better late than never
You can shine on through
Better late than never
You can shine on
You can shine on.....
