Story Behind The Song

growing up with a 'heavy-handed' father give me the inspiration to pen these lyrics and the fact that I would pray every night to someone that I could be adopted by someone else...those, or any others, were never answered...or at least not as I wanted at the time.

Song Description

this song hopefully describes the angst felt during child hood, knowing that you or another family member could be violently abused at any moment. Then when you need someone to turn to, there is nobody there...in particularly any religious icon.
