Story Behind The Song

While I was an accountant in NYC I began to feel very lost, and confused about who I was. I found myself seeking validation in so many ways, but couldn't find the confidence I was looking for. Desperate to express my feelings, I decided to write my first EDM song that would later be named "High in the Sky". HITS represents the moment I was finally willing to FAIL at my dreams by sharing a piece of myself through music. The part of my life I captured was this imagination of what life would be like once I finally took that step. When I finally chose to believe in myself and go for something I always wanted. Putting out this song was exactly that. Making it in DUBSTEP? A reminder to myself where my inspirations in music came from. A beacon for myself during times where I needed to be reminded of where this all started and where I wanted to end up. I hope this song embodies that drive, determination, and ecstasy of achieving your dreams.

Song Description

The first verse describes the emotional struggle we have when trying to believe in ourselves. That moment when seeking validation from those around us and how it can momentarily mimic confidence in ourselves. The Pre-Chorus builds up in a classic EDM fashion as we recollect the physical feelings, memories, and determination that will send us into the drop of the Chorus. A dynamic dubstep inspired instrumental that embodies the ecstasy of drowning in your dreams. Verse two describes the physical influences on this moment as you begin to notice this is your moment. Greatness is at your doorstep but it is your choice to take that leap of faith.
