Story Behind The Song
When I was 5, I used to sit at the edge of my mom's bed, and pretend to play the piano on the window sill. She would really get into it and encourage me to sing for hours.
Song Description
This song evolved like a lot of my songs, I listen to the chords and rhythm pattern, and hope to hear the words that are already there. When I find a groove, I work my way up from there.

Lyrics
MY PIANO
I HAVE A DREAM SOMEDAY?I WOULD LEARN TO PLAY?MY PIANO.
BUT I DON?T HAVE THE HEART?SO I NEVER START?THE PIANO
WITH IT?S BACK AGAINT THE WALL?I COULD HEAR THE CALL?OF MY PIANO
MY FRIENDS WOULD COME AND STAY?THEY WOULD ALWAYS SAY?
?NICE PIANO!?
I?D GRAB MY GUITAR?. IT?D WATCH ME FROM AFAR?MY PIANO
WITH IT?S BACK AGAINT THE WALL?I CAN HEAR THE CALL?OF MY PIANO
(CHORUS)
SO SILENT IT REMAINS?IT?S FINISH HAS A STAIN
FROM A CIGARRETTE IN 1968.
THOUGH WE MOVED THREE TIMES?IN THE BACK OF MY MIND
I KNEW I WOULD LEARN HOW TO PLAY (last time I KNEW I?D NEVER LEARN TO PLAY)
MY PIANO.
I?D SIT ON DADDY?S KNEES?WHEN HE?D PLAY THE KEYS?OF MY PIANO
WHEN MY MOMMA?D SING ALONG?IT WAS ONE BIG HAPPY SONG ON MY PIANO.
WITH IT?S BACK AGAINT THE WALL?I CAN HEAR THE CALL?OF MY PIANO
I WON?T FORGET THE DAY?MY DAD SAID HE WOULDN?T PLAY?MY PIANO
HE SAID I LOVED YOUR MOTHER DEAR?BUT SHE?S GONE AND SHE CAN?T HEAR
MY PIANO.
WITH IT?S BACK AGAINT THE WALL?I CAN HEAR THE CALL?OF MY PIANO
TO (CHORUS)
