Lyrics
Our Little Town
Verse 1
The old folks sit and complain about modern ways
And how much better life was in the good old days
How all the kids they just grow up and move away
That's the way it is in our little town
Verse 2
Five years married and two kids at twenty one
What happened to being a kid (child) and just having fun?
It's enough to make you want to pack up and then maybe run
That's the way it is in our little town
Chorus
Don't get me wrong I've got to say there's still something about it
It's a special way of life and I don't want to live without it
It's in my heart and soul it doesn't matter where I roam
I've seen the world and I can tell you there's no place like home
Guitar Theme
No Place Like Home
Bridge
Every night they roll up the sidewalk and close down the whole darned place
After midnight nobody ever, ever even shows their face
In our little town
Guitar Solo
Verse 3
Our little town may be no place to brag about
But small town charm is something some folks can't do without
So many things make me want to stand up and shout
Hey! Welcome to life in our little town
Chorus
Don't get me wrong I've got to say there's still something about it
It's a special way of life and I don't want to live without it
It's in my heart and soul it doesn't matter where I roam
I've seen the world and I can tell you there's no place like home
There's no place like home...
And our little town...
