Story Behind The Song
One night I was playing in a country bar and a woman stood up and began dancing by herself. She was the only customer at the time. She was doing a circular step and shuffling her feet. She suddenly lost control of her bladder and began creating a star pattern of urine on the concrete floor. This pattern began making it's way toward the stage and freaked all of us out. This incident was the inspiration for this song. Thus the line "If she wants to move you'd better give her some room and let her dance." You'd better give her lots of room Ha Ha!

Lyrics
Let Her Dance
Words and music by: Jim Chase
She comes in here every Saturday night
Just about half past nine
She sits right down at the bar over there
And orders up a glass of wine
She never looks up to see who's there
I swear she doesn't even care
But just like clockwork in a little while
She'll head out on the dance floor all by herself
Just let her dance
Let her dance
If she wants to move you better give her some room
And let her dance
People say she's crazy, out of her head
Well I don't know if that's really so
But she'll twist and shout, and boogie all about
Really puttin' on a show
Are there imaginary lovers, underneath the covers
Out of sight of me and you
Well it takes all kinds to make the world go round
There's nothing we can do
But let her dance
Let her dance
If she wants to move you better give her some room
And let her dance
Instrumental
Let her dance
Let her dance
If she wants to move you better give her some room
And let her dance
Way back a long time ago I bet you somebody did her wrong
Some people just can't let go
They carry it around way too long
So let her dance
Let her dance
If she wants to move you better give her some room
And let her dance
Let her dance
If she's got to move, you better give her some room
And let her dance, let her dance
Let her dance, dance, dance
Etc
