Thurston Peak - Piano Solo

Story Behind The Song

My great-great-grandfather was logging on the side of a mountain with his sons when he realized he wasn't too far from the peak. He decided to go see what he could from the top of the mountain. Once at the peak he discovered a lush green, unsettled valley on the other side. He was so impressed he decided to settle the valley. This song is my musical interpretation of what he may have experienced as he hiked the final distance to the peak, saw the lush green land, and pondered the possibility of settling the valley.

Song Description

Musical interpretation of the final leg of the climb to the mountain top, the clearing of the mist unveiling a lush green valley below, the inspired vision of what the valley could become, excitement to settle the valley and make the dream become reality
