Story Behind The Song
One of my favorite movies is "The Matrix" and there is a particular scene that I was always reminded of when I forced to make hard choices in my life. I was exactly there when I wrote this song; many life altering choices and decisions were in front of me, and some overlap with "The Matrix".
Song Description
A nice mix of instrumentation and sounds; everything from chello to a double bass drum track. This song reaches back to a time when my music was more Rock/Electronica while still keeping in line with the feel of "Flooding Light"

Lyrics
(Chorus)
No way I?ll back down now
No way out
Cleansing rain hidden in a dreary night
Empty street hidden in a big city beat
Black on black G ride creeps
Slow low I don?t know where it goes
Limo tint on the windows is like a black out
I roll em down and there?s a smack out
Of the thin polluted air
From my world out there
And my choices are two fold I know
And I?m not comfortable goin down the same road
But familiarity gives me false clarity
Comes full circle and leaves disparity
That I feel tonight
About the decision I must come to by dome light
And there?s no turning back from where I came once I go
I burnt the bridges and sank the boats
No way out
(Chorus)
No way I?ll back down now
No way out
The big black car
In the big black night
Has rolled to a stop now
The time has arrived to decide somehow
The door swings open
Suicide style
How fitting for my life
If I?d turn back now
When faced with the choice
For the moment I?d like to run
To my dingy apartment, and unmade bed
Let the rain wash this memory out of my head
When I come back to, in the black leather seat
I shut the door with the ease of bein sure
I can?t live like the past anymore
The driver slowly rolls the gas to the floor
(Chorus)
No way I?ll back down now
No way out
I feel the wind through the window
blowin through my hair
I reach over and roll up my barrier
To keep the influence out there
And the decision was made
Without really knowin, exactly where we?re goin
Or what will be in today
And ironically all I can feel in me, is relief that I?m finally free
(Chorus)
No way I?ll back down now
No way out
