Great song....story telling at its best...I love when a song gets to the point and makes you stop and think...maybe just maybe it will make a person stop and think...it did me, had to go back and listen again...nice ride always....
This is a straight ahead country song with a message
I love the sound of the vocals and the sound of the drums and the bass guitar as they interact together, I also think the lead guitar has a good sound. Sounds a little like Charlie Pride.
A real nice hook and a driving feel.

I think that was the best line of the song...rhyming with "gawking" without the word choking the meter was great.
Beautiful Folk based tune! Very enjoyable and the melody is very strong in both Verse and the chorus. Well balanced production with strong vocals.

Great chorus. This song had my toe tapping from the outset. The lead guitar work in conjunction with the fiddle is spectacular. I thought the snare was a little high, and thematically juxtaposed. I think this song would do better with simpler percussion that highlights the terrific melody and extremely tight composition. The bass was right on, adding a lot with out being invasive. I would look at the song writing licensing opportunities. I could see this being a New Country song.
