Story Behind The Song
Having grown up outside of Marysville CA, known for its early history of Gold Mining, this is a story about our neighbor family who lived in a trailer in the middle of their Lot. Just about every weekend they would gather all of their kids, put them on the back of their flatbed truck (imagine the Beverly Hillbillies), and head up to the mountains, driving alongside the Yuba River and the railroad trains going up the mountains. So, I just imagined that they might have a little cabin and a gold mining claim they go to where they enjoy nature and have a blast.

COUNTING THE RAILCARS MOVIN UP THE MOUNTAIN
