HYPOTHERMIA
Winters of endless snow
Antarctic winds that pierce my soul
Shiver so hard that my bones ache
Almost too much to take
Stories of callousness unfold
Ways of the world are so cold
I struggle against the raging storm
Searching for somewhere warm I'm praying for the aging Sun to shine
Or I will be frozen for all Time
I'm praying for the warm winds to suffice
I don't want to have a heart of ice
It leaves me so cold
Lost overboard at sea
Darkness surrounding me
Search lights that pass me in the night
Slowly they fade from sight
Adrift on this sea of sin
Sharp salty winds that split my skin
Could anyone feel more alone?
Shivering to the bone
Am I going to make it through the night
Or will I be found by Morning Light
Will they drag me from this Sea of Sin
Before hypothermia sets in
I'm feeling so cold
There's an aging Sun that's shining down
Melting all the ice for miles around
Will I break on through and be set free?
Or is it an icy grave for me?
