Story Behind The Song
The line "simple things in life" popped into my head and the song was born from that. I try to keep my songs generic so that almost anyone can relate to them, however some have connections to my personal life without making them personalized.
Song Description
I wrote this song a few years ago quite simply about the simple things in life and that those things seem to have vanished. It is about life in general for the everyday man and people can relate to it on many levels.

Lyrics
The piece of the puzzle that just won't fit
Things in life we don't regret
The things you want to leave but
Just creep up on you again
Too many apologies
For the little things
Doesn't leave much room
For the things you can't forgive
Whatever happened to the simple things in life?
Everyone has taken their minds
And painted them white
You look outside and everybody's looking around
Trying to find the answer that will never be found
Never be found
Never be found
You work so hard with so little sleep
To buy the things you want and need
But who decides what you want and what you need
So take my hand and we will see another day
Put the past behind us and just focus straight ahead
All the things you look towards
That makes you feel good inside
Don't mean a damn thing
If your soul is not alive
Whatever happened to the simple things in life?
Everyone has taken their minds
And painted them white
You look outside and everybody's looking around
Trying to find the answer that will never be found
Never be found
Whatever happened to the simple things in life?
Everyone has taken their minds
And painted them white
You look outside and everybody's looking around
Trying to find the answer that will never be found
Never be found
Never be found
