Story Behind The Song
I felt a strong desire to write a song to Americans and this is what came to me. I wrote it as a cheerful way of saying hello, gidday, how are you, America?
heres a bit about us :-)
Song Description
This song is a simple Hello America. its based on the reality that I grew up with American influences. Its a way of saying Hello to a country that has made an impact on me and my life and many of the lives of Australians. Its also an acknowledgement of the good that has been produced especially from influences such as Oprah Winfrey in which I make reference to in the second verse.

Lyrics
welcome to this side of the world, in the southern skies have you heard, we're living here in your shadow, from afar we see where ever you go.
CHORUS
Hello America, even though we're miles apart. you have us hooked on you, everything you say and do America. hello gidday how are you America?
We watch your television shows each day, i see Oprah Winfrey as a living saint. we hear your music on the radio, American everything everywhere we go.
As a proud land we know that you are too, Hello America here's a tune to you.
