Story Behind The Song
Los Angeles draws so many people with dreams. Dreams of stardom, dreams of a better life in a new country, dreams of working in a large city and making your way. People still believe the roads are paved with gold. Somtimes it feels as if all of this hope and desire overwhelms the city and chokes it. I am no different. I follow my dreams and look for a place where I can be at peace amongst all of this wanting.
Song Description
I find myself stuck at a job I don't care about; in traffic; in the daily grind. I see that others are feeling the same way; desperate with dreams. Everyone is looking for something and I am no different. I continue to look for hope, comfort and peace.

Lyrics
A Peace That's Mine
Verse
Sitting at my desk
Wasn?t I here just yesterday
It?s the same, same, same
I look out see
The desperation thicker than the smog
It just feels wrong
A shadow on my shoulder
Chorus
I can feel it out there. a wanting for something more
A quicksand that I wade through all the cries that I try to ignore
Nobody here because they?re satisfied
A pull, a need, a want, a drive
And I look for a peace that?s mine
Verse
Sitting in my car
A sea of red Moses couldn?t part
And miles to go
I look up in hope but
Every star in the sky?s been wished away
By dreams and pain
A heart beats and a soul bleeds
Chorus
I can feel it out there. a wanting for something more
A quicksand that I wade through all the cries that I try to ignore
Nobody here because they?re satisfied
A pull, a need, a want, a drive
And I look for a peace that?s mine
